Academy Awards Contest ~ Take 3!

Competition time is here again, and even though Fassbender (honestly, can't place him) got passed over, a full Academy boycott wouldn't be prudent.

If you're anything like me,
most films you've yet to see.
Nonethless, without duress,
select the winners-to-be.

  6. And the winner is...

    ...well, this time that's me with 13 correct picks, but I swear it was no Putin-style rigging -- just some good old- fashioned consensus gathering, intuition, and semi-educated guessing (i.e. Meryl Streep painted up as Thatcher "ding!" = Make-up Oscar; charming guy with a crooked nose meets Modern art's heaviest hitters "bing!" = Best Original Screenplay...that's how I did it this time).

    And the Runners-up for 2012:

    TT, Mom, Tina --> 9 Academy insider picks
    Rick & Donna --> 8 most cerebral picks
    Mo G --> 6 most adventurous picks
    Killer B --> 2 jock-supportive picks

    Thanks to y'all, my fellow elite competitors, for your participation. The stakes, although likely to remain negligible, may very well rise in 2013, so I hope you'll join in again next year!
